A unit of five drivers recently won voluntary union recognition at PKS Road Oil Company in Las Vegas.

The Teamsters' area construction agreement will cover the workers, who operate tank trucks and “boot trucks,” which spread oil on road surfaces.

“This is the first contract we've reached in oil, and it's just the beginning of a lot more organizing in Nevada construction for Teamsters Local 631,” said organizer John Milner, who led the campaign.

Business Agents Carl Hosmer and Ricky Knight will represent the unit.
