Cenveo Council Fights for Workers' Rights

November 15, 2006

Workers, who are GCC/IBT members at commercial printer Cenveo, are battling the company over proposed cuts in their wages, health and welfare and pension benefits.

Cenveo has already unveiled plans to destroy the workers' collective bargaining agreements in St. Louis, Philadelphia and Seattle. In the near future, the contracts in Portland, Oregon, Los Angeles and San Francisco will expire and be open for re-negotiation.

The Cenveo Council, which comprises GCC/IBT representatives from Seattle Local 767M, Philadelphia Local 14M, St. Louis Local 6505-M, Los Angeles/Oakland/Seattle District Council 2, Los Angeles Local 404M, San Francisco Local 583 M and Twin Cities Local 1M, has been established to share ideas and work in a coordinated way to preserve and improve the workers' contracts.
