Contract Negotiations to Begin Next Month
January 29, 2007
Sixty-two employees of LBC Mundial Corporation, a global courier service, recently voted to become Teamsters and are now looking forward to forthcoming contract negotiations.
The workers are members of Covina, California-based Local 63 and San Diego-based Local 542. They work at 17 LBC locations, including facilities in Los Angeles, San Diego and Covina.
"These workers are happy to be Teamsters, and this was made possible by the collaborative efforts of both locals working together," said Randy Korgan, Director of Organizing with Local 63.
The workers have joined together for more respect, wages and health benefits.
Contract negotiations will begin February 2.
