National Negotiations to Begin March 17 March 7, 2008 The Teamsters National Master Automobile Transporters Negotiating Committee exchanged contract proposals today with the employers outside Detroit. The National Master Automobile Transporters Agreement, which expires May 31, 2008, covers about 8,000 Teamster carhaulers. Contract negotiations will begin March 17. “The union is committed to protecting members’ jobs and to maintain members’ health, welfare and pension benefits,” said Fred Zuckerman, Director of the Teamsters Carhaul Division.
