The Teamsters National ABF Negotiating Committee met with ABF this week in Dallas, and the committee is disappointed with the company’s initial proposals. (Read update).
The Teamsters National Freight Industry Negotiating Committee (TNFINC) concluded another week of negotiations with ABF. Negotiations continue to be difficult and the company continues to seek significant concessions in both economic and non-economic matters. TNFINC is continuing to try to seek ways to address the company’ s legitimate competitive and operational needs while at the same time protecting good middle class jobs and standards. As scheduled, the union’s national negotiating committee met with the company for negotiations this week in Kansas City. Some progress has been made in that the company has withdrawn its initial proposal and has agreed to work from the existing agreement.
