How the Candidates Measure Up

The following Democrats and Republicans have officially announced their candidacy for President of the United States. Listed are some of the ways in which the candidates have expressed a commitment to support working families, using the following criteria.
  • Active Support:  Show of support for the Teamsters Union through three or more actions including walking a picket line, assisting in an organizing campaign or responding to a specific request from the Union to assist in an ongoing campaign.
  • Pledge:  Show of support for the Teamsters Union by signing a "Teamster Pledge” and committing to legislative actions on behalf of the Teamsters Union.
  • Video:  Show of support for the Teamsters Union by telling Teamster members in the candidate's own voice, in a three-minute video, about how he or she will grow the Teamsters Union.
