On December 18, workers at Rhein Chemie, a Trenton, New Jersey chemical supplier, voted to join Local 701 in North Brunswick, New Jersey. The 70-person unit is made up of workers in maintenance, warehouse, production and utilities, and lab technicians. “Respect and dignity were big issues with this group,” said John Devereaux, Vice President of Local 701. “Safety was also a big factor. And a lot of credit for the success of the campaign should go to their committee, which did a great job.”
