Dairy Conference

The Teamsters represent more than 35,000 dairy employees nationwide. These employees are pasteurizers, cheese cooks, gallon filler operators, and yogurt processors, to name a few job descriptions in the industry.

The 10 largest dairy employers by membership are: Dean Foods; Prairie Farms Dairy; Dairy Farmers of America; HP Hood LLC; Associated Milk Producers, Inc.; Foremost Farms USA; Nestle; Safeway; Leprino Foods Co., and; Foster Farms.

Many of our members are employed by companies that operate nationwide, although labor agreements are negotiated by individual local unions. The division monitors these agreements to keep wage and benefit uniformity within the industry.

Teamsters International Vice President Fred Gegare also serves as the division director.
