(Washington, DC) – General President Jim Hoffa is calling on Pennsylvania Gov. Edward G. Rendell to protect good-paying jobs in the state by refusing to sell or lease the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

“No public official has the right to place roads and bridges that belong to the citizens on the open market,” Hoffa wrote in a letter to the governor.
