On September 29, Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa and Illinois State Treasurer candidate Alexi Giannoulias joined Joint Council 25's Executive Board at its monthly meeting on September 29.

“Joint Council 25 is revolutionizing the way things are done by changing the mood and idea of a joint council,” Hoffa said. “The Joint Council is doing a wonderful job uniting its locals and exporting ideas.”

Members of the Joint Council's Executive Board include John T. Coli, President; Thomas L. Custer, Secretary-Treasurer; Robert A. Hogan, Vice President; Patrick W. Flynn, Recording Secretary; Robert White, Trustee; Thomas W. Stiede, Trustee; and Terrence J. Hancock, Trustee.

“We always enjoy having Jim visit the Joint Council and see firsthand all the great things we are doing for our members,” Coli said. “The Executive Board and I are very proud of the great strides Joint Council 25 has made in the past four years.”

Giannoulias was recently endorsed by the Teamsters as the best candidate to represent the interests of working families.

“We stand behind Alexi, and can’t wait to see the great things he has planned be put into place,” Coli said. “It is time for some fresh air in the treasurer’s office, and Alexi is the right candidate to bring about changes which will benefit our members.”
