  • Dear Teamster Union Member and Family,

Last November’s elections brought many anti-union governors and lawmakers into statehouses throughout the country. These elections were financed by a wave of corporate cash never before seen in this country.

Newly elected politicians are paying back their corporate contributors by attacking the voices of working people. Right to work (for LESS) laws are being proposed in a number of states, including Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota and more.

  • A huge crowd of 10,000 people, including Teamsters, teachers and construction workers, rallied today in front of the Michigan statehouse in Lansing.

  • Teamsters were among about 6,000 protesters who took part in Wednesday’s huge rally in Lansing. They were protesting a bill that would cut business taxes by more than 86 percent while cutting $1.2 billion in funds for schools, universities, local governments and other areas.

A big cheer for our Teamsters who took part!

  • (LANSING, Mich.) – Teamsters General President Jim Hoffa promised to stand with workers to defend their collective bargaining rights, in an address today to 700 union members at a lunchtime rally at the Michigan statehouse.

  • A state senator says he has introduced legislation that would allow counties and other local governments to create so-called "right to work" zones within their boundaries.
