    Last November’s elections brought many anti-union governors and lawmakers into statehouses throughout the country. These elections were financed by a wave of corporate cash never before seen in this country.

    Newly elected politicians are paying back their corporate contributors by attacking the voices of working people. Right to work (for LESS) laws are being proposed in a number of states, including Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota and more.

  • Teamsters Local 320 (www.teamsterslocal320.org), representing some 11,500 public employees throughout Minnesota’s 87 counties, launched a statewide print and radio campaign on Sunday, February 13, urging citizens to tell their legislators to stop the proposed 15% slash to public employee rolls and benefits as part of a Republican plan to plug the state’s $6.2 billion deficit.

  • Construction workers in hard hats and safety vests mixed with nurses and professional employees at a packed legislative hearing Thursday on a proposal to freeze wages and undermine public workers' right to collective bargaining. Amid a slew of such anti-worker legislation, union leaders asked, "Where is the focus on jobs?"
