  • Dear Teamster Union Member and Family,

Last November’s elections brought many anti-union governors and lawmakers into statehouses throughout the country. These elections were financed by a wave of corporate cash never before seen in this country.

Newly elected politicians are paying back their corporate contributors by attacking the voices of working people. Right to work (for LESS) laws are being proposed in a number of states, including Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Maine, Minnesota and more.

  • TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — A new poll finds that about half of all Ohioans want the new collective bargaining law repealed while a little over a third want to keep it.

  • Good news: Ohio officials today gave the go-ahead for S.B. 5 opponents to collect signatures to put the repealing of the law on the November ballot.

  • This Saturday is the official kickoff for the citizens’ veto of S.B. 5, which stripped Ohio government workers of their rights to collectively bargain.

  • After Wisconsin’s labor battle seized the nation’s attention, after nearly 100,000 people rallied in Madison to protest a bill to curb public-sector collective bargaining, the Ohio legislature has, with far less fanfare, enacted a bill perhaps even tougher on unions.
