Teamsters Trained to Protect our Nation Against Terrorism
Teamsters are now serving in a program authorized by Congress to help strengthen our nation’s critical infrastructure against potential risks from terrorist attacks. The First Observer program is intended to protect our nation’s transportation systems where Teamsters work every day. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration awarded a First Observer grant to a consortium of contractors, including the Teamsters Union.
