Stan Hennessy

International Vice President, Canada

 

Stan Hennessy first became a Teamster in 1972 as a warehouseman. He held shop steward positions at two different Teamster companies before spending 10 years as a business agent with Local 31 in Delta, British Columbia. He is also President of Joint Council 36 in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2002, he was elected President of the local, whose jurisdiction covers British Columbia and the Yukon Territory. Hennessy is also an elected member of the Teamsters Canada Executive Board and a National Assistant to the President of Teamsters Canada serving Western Canada. He actively represents labor either as a board member or director of several organizations in Western Canada such as the Western Transportation Advisory Council (WESTAC).
