You Don't Need Them As Much As They Need You

A Teamster organizer named Dean Phinney working on the School Bus and Transit Worker Campaign, Drive Up Standards recently wrote on the bulletin board forum we have at the site. The piece that he posted there really moved me (and a lot of other people). As I read the article over and over again I thought a few things:
- His statements can/should be universally applied to all workers, not just bus drivers, aides and mechanics.
- His statements should be read as far and wide as possible.
I called the organizer today and told him that I'd like to re-post his piece on a few sites, including UnionReview, he gave me his blessings. Please comment on this piece and let Dean know you agree, got something out of his work, or just say thanks for the kick ass job he does organizing yards of school bus workers around the country.
