Every day, workers at dozens of Quebecor World plants in the United States
produce high quality catalogs, books, and magazines, including such
recognizable titles as
Time Magazine,
Harry Potter and the
Half-Blood Prince, Victoria’s Secret catalogs, and
Reader’s Digest.
These workers have helped make Quebecor World one of the world’s largest
commercial printers, with U.S. sales topping $6.6 billion in 2004 alone.
Quebecor World workers
across the U.S. are standing together to build their own unions with the
Graphic Communications Conference (GCC) of the International Brotherhood of
Teamsters. And workers at Quebecor facilities in more than a dozen
countries—from Chile to Sweden to the United Kingdom—stand in solidarity
with their efforts to win the right to organize and form unions at Quebecor.
Workers in the U.S.
realize the power of standing togetheremployees at Quebecor World
facilities in Versailles, Kentucky; Fernley, Nevada; and elsewhere have
recently formed unions with the GCC—and more are seeking to do so today.
Thousands of members strong, the GCC is facilitating the efforts of Quebecor
World across the country as they work to form their own unions and negotiate
contracts that fairly reward their hard work and dedication to the company.
