ABX Air mechanics at the company’s 80 maintenance stations are working to join the Teamsters Union.

The approximately 1,500 mechanics and related workers are building their union with the Teamsters. They seek job security, health insurance, retirement security, on-the-job respect and a voice in policy changes.

A union contract is the best way to secure wages, rules at work and fair health insurance. What’s more, in the case of a merger of ABX Air with another airline, a union contract means having a strong voice to protect our good jobs.

In addition to support from the Teamsters Union and workers throughout the DHL system, the mechanics are strongly supported by their coworkers, including the 750 ABX pilots who are members of Teamsters Local 1224 and the company’s ramp and sort workers.

“Without a doubt, building your union with the Teamsters is a very smart move. A union helps provide job security, pay increases and defined work rules that will benefit you, your coworkers and your family. ABX Air pilots urge you to join us as Teamsters.”
