United Airlines mechanics are ready for their Teamster election! The Teamsters Union has been working in close partnership with UAL mechanics for several months in order to bring change to United Airlines. Organizing started two years ago as a grassroots effort by a group of UAL mechanics who were seeking a change for the better. There is now a major, nationwide effort by UAL mechanics to gain Teamster representation.

Why are hundreds of UAL mechanics actively seeking to secure the International Brotherhood of Teamsters as their future union representative? The Teamsters is a powerful, effective organization that is 1.4 million members strong. The Teamsters Airline Division and Teamsters Aviation Mechanics Coalition are leading the fight against outsourcing and working toward a secure future for all aviation mechanics. Teamster mechanics contracts provide for strong scope (job protection) language, solid wages, benefits and retirement security at 11 carriers, including Continental Airlines, Frontier Airlines, and UPS.

Please take the time to find out more about this exciting time for UAL mechanics and what the Teamsters are all about!
